A Prayer For My Daughters by Meagan Goyne

Dear Heavenly Father,

“I pray that as parents we do our best in raising our girls to know your Word and your unconditional love. I pray that they see themselves through you and not the awful world we live in. I pray if they feel self doubt, unworthiness, and hopelessness that they turn to you and find comfort in your promise. I pray that when the enemy tells them evil lies that they hear your voice speak truth! I pray that they lead others to know you and your goodness. And Father I pray that you help them to be good stewards and that they remain strong in their faith, forever and always. In your holy name I pray. Amen.”

I didn’t have the best childhood growing up. My parents were divorced, my dad was in and out of jail most my life, and drugs were on going in my household. As an adult I could of easily went down the same path, the only path I knew. But I broke the chains and chose a different path for my life and my family. The best way I know to protect my kids from the enemy, lies, and deceit is to make sure they are at church building a foundation in Christ and his holy world. Showing them the love of Christ in our home, letting them see us read our Bibles, and praying big prayers. And ultimately be good disciples of the Lord, spreading the gospel and setting the tone for a new, better generation!

“May our sons flourish in their youth like well-nurtured plants. May our daughters be like graceful pillars, carved to beautify a palace.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭144:12‬ ‭

You mommas of little boys, I encourage you to also pray this prayer over your boys as they will be the leaders of our girls and their entire families in the future.

My sister and I came from an abusive upbringing an also said that it stops here and we will be the change. Thank you for sharing 💖👑🗡
