December, you barely left and now you are back.
I have to tell on myself, I still have two small trees in my garage that I intended to put in the attic.
Well, I guess putting my tree’s up this year just got a bit easier.
Well, maybe not. I will now be wiping some dust off them because we live in West Texas.
Are you all ready for what comes throughout this month? I am because I have determined to put Christ in Christmas like never before. I am fighting the consumerism of this divine moment.
Help me Jesus. Help all of us not be exhausted by the day set aside to focus on you. Help us focus.
Today as I was reading my Bible, I was reminded what Christmas is all about –
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them.
And if that was not enough, he put us to work in the family business.
And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
So, we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
Jesus you are the reason for the season – help us never to forget the price you paid for us to be reconciled back to you. We love you Jesus today more than we did yesterday.
